Catching Up!

Hello world!

I've decided to start a blog on my new journey with my lovely lapband! We'll see how this goes!

After 9 months of appointments and classes and waiting and more appointments--I am finally banded! I'm currently 10 days out and am feeling great. I do have pain in what I'm guessing must be my port site whenever I try to bend down too far or twist or turn in a weird way. I'm still on a predominantly clear liquid diet...which for me has been consisting of way too much Carnation Instant Breakfast (CIB), Jello, Popsicles, water, crystal light...that's pretty much it. I am starting to get HUNGRY!!! I go on Tuesday to meet with my nutritionist and move along my diet to include soft foods such as yogurt and mashed potatoes! Woo Hoo!

I need help with this "No Heavy Lifting" Rule...I've got 3...yes THREE wild and crazy kiddos at home (3.5 yrs old and twin 21 month olds) needless to say...I'm trying to keep lifting to a minimum but can NOT avoid it all together...is this really bad?

So my lovely, amazing husband has all of the sudden gotten a taste of reality I think because the last couple days he's been really anti-my band. (we talked all about it before hand etc. so it's not like I did it without him knowing!) He asked when I could drink more than 4 oz. at a time, I said "Never!" He asked how many ounces a grilled cheese was, I said, "I don't know...I might not be able to eat bread...it doesn't agree with everyone..." He couldn't understand it. I told him it wasn't for him to worry about but he begs to differ since he likes going out to dinner etc. We'll see what happens when I can actually put some food down!

I need to take my measurements...haven't yet. ever. and know I should for future reference.

Anyhow...that's all for now!
